How to trained you german shepherd puppy not shitting

First you need to stop using the litterbox.

Start taking him outside and skip any indoor elimination ideas like pee pads, newspaper and litterboxes. These are not necessary.

Rule of thumb is a pup needs to get outside however old it is in months by hours. So 3 months every 3 hours, 4 months old every 4 hours. With that being said they also need to go out 5-15mins after drinking water, 20-40mins after eating, after any nap short or long, and after play.

Make sure you also buy an enzyme cleaner designed for dog urine and feces. This will get the smell out so they dog doesn't smell it anymore. Regular household cleaner are not designed to help with pet waste.

Recommend agree with not starting them on pee pads/newspaper and such because once they start on that you have a whole new step of teaching them to go outside to potty when the ultimate goal is to get them to eliminate outdoors. Keeping an eye on your puppy constantly is key or they will have an accident on your floor. When you see your puppy starting to sniff around in your house pick them up and take them outside give them a command like 'let's potty' and when they go praise them with happiness, treats, being pet . The other tips you received above about outdoor potty training work too I used that way too. It's a good idea to keep your puppy by your side on leash while inside too because some puppies will get away from you and may go

Hope this help you
